Commander overview

Omnath, Locus of Creation is one of the few landfall commanders where it is correct to obsess over fetchlands, extra land drops, and replaying lands from the graveyard. The commander pays you on the first, second, and third land each turn, so your list should be full of cards that let those triggers happen now, not eventually.

How this deck wins

Omnath lists usually win by chaining landfall turns that bury the table in mana and board presence. Exploration, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, Lotus Cobra, Ancient Greenwarden, Scapeshift, Splendid Reclamation, and Field of the Dead are the classic cards because they make the second and third land drops realistic instead of magical Christmas land.

Common mistakes

The biggest mistake is playing Omnath like generic four-color ramp. If your list cannot repeatedly trigger the second and third landfall lines, you are leaving a huge amount of the commander's text unused. The next mistake is playing too many payoffs and not enough effects that actually put extra lands onto the battlefield.
